Hendrick Hudson High School senior Gaby Quist is currently completing her Gold Award for Girl Scouts, and her efforts include creating and donating hundreds of diaper/travel bags for local mothers in need. Last month, students at Frank G. Lindsey, Buchanan-Verplanck and Furnace Woods elementary schools joined in to create many of the bags.

Superintendent Joseph Hochreiter chatted with yet another district member who won big on a nationally televised game show: Josh Cohen, principal at Buchanan-Verplanck Elementary School, who won big on Wheel of Fortune last month.
Students rely on a wide array of digital tools when doing research, preparing presentations and undertaking many other types of assignments. The more proficient library staff can be in these applications, the better they can assist students. Two of the district’s technology coaches recently provided a training in Google applications for education to Hendrick Hudson Free Library staff.
Hendrick Hudson High School has announced its Honor Roll and High Honor Roll for the first marking period of the 2019-20 school year.
Superintendent Joseph Hochreiter recently chatted with two cast members from Hendrick Hudson High School’s upcoming fall drama, “She Kills Monsters,” seniors Jessica Goetchius and Hadyn Gelman. The play will be performed on Friday and Saturday, November 22 and 23, at 7:30 p.m. and is for mature audiences, due to strong language and adult themes. Tickets will be available at the door: $10 students/senior citizens and $15 adults.
