• Budget Vote Information

    Registration

    To vote in the Hendrick Hudson School District election, you must be registered. If you are registered to vote in the general election and have voted within the last four years, you are also registered to vote in the school district election. If you wish to register for only the school district election, you may register in person with Carmen Koch, District Clerk at the School District Administration Building, 61 Trolley Road, Montrose, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., up to five days before the vote.  If you are not sure if you are registered, please call Carmen Koch at (914) 257-5112.

    Qualifications to Vote

    A person must be:

      • a citizen of the United States
      • at least 18 years old
      • registered to vote in the general election and/or the school district elections and
      • a resident of the district for at least 30 days preceding the vote.

    A qualified voter may register to vote in the May 16, 2023 budget vote/election by registering to vote with the Westchester County Board of Elections.     Military Voters

    Military voters who are not currently registered may apply to register as a qualified voter of the School District. Military voters may apply to register to vote with the District Clerk, by emailing the District Clerk at Carmen.Koch@henhudschools.org. Upon such a request for a military voter application, such military voter may indicate his/her preference for receiving the application for registration by mail, facsimile or electronic mail. Such registration application must be received in the office of the District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 20, 2023. Any military voter shall be entitled to have his or her name placed upon such Register, provided he or she is known or proven to be to the satisfaction of the District Clerk to be then or thereafter entitled to military voter status at the annual meeting and election for which such Register is prepared.

    Absentee Ballots

    Applications for absentee ballots are available for registered voters who will not be able to vote in person on May 16, 2023. You may apply in person at the School District Administration Building for an application or by downloading the application by clicking HERE.

    Absentee ballot application should be submitted in original form, with the original signature. It must be submitted at least seven days before the vote/election (May 9, 2023) if the ballot will be mailed to the voter and by the day before the vote/election (May 15, 2023) if the ballot will be personally picked up by the voter. Absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on (May 15, 2023) in order to be counted.

    Registro

    Votantes militares

    Los votantes militares que no están actualmente registrados pueden solicitar registrarse como votantes calificados del Distrito Escolar. Los votantes militares pueden solicitar registrarse para votar con el secretario del distrito, enviando un correo electrónico al secretario del distrito a Carmen.Koch@henhudschools.org.     Votos en ausencia

    Las solicitudes de boletas de voto en ausencia están disponibles para los votantes registrados que no podrán votar en persona el 16 de mayo de 2023. Puede solicitar una solicitud en persona en el Edificio de Administración del Distrito Escolar o descargar la solicitud haciendo clic AQUÍ.

    La solicitud de boleta de voto en ausencia debe presentarse en forma original, con la firma original. Debe presentarse al menos siete días antes de la votación/elección (9 de mayo de 2023) si la boleta se enviará por correo al votante y el día anterior a la votación/elección (15 de mayo de 2023) si la boleta se recogerá personalmente arriba por el votante. El secretario del distrito debe recibir las boletas de voto en ausencia antes de las 5:00 p. m. del (15 de mayo de 2023) para que se cuenten.
