Class of 2019

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all to the Hendrick Hudson High School. My name is Deborah Cardenas and I am the ninth grade counselor here at Hendrick Hudson High School. I realize that starting high school is an exciting milestone, but also can be stressful for parents and students alike. I am striving to highlight the importance of making positive decisions that will lay the foundation for academic success in their future. Your child’s commitment to daily homework and study as well as involvement in school activities and dedication in all areas will directly impact their attitude and approach to the remaining years of high school and beyond. One key element to a successful school year is parent involvement. You know your children best and can always tell when your child’s attitude changed, behavior at home has changed, or they are just in need of support. You can always call the school and speak with me if you have questions or concerns about the academic, social or emotional well-being of your child. We will work together to find a solution to your child’s particular issue. I can be reached at (914) 257-5868. I look forward to working with you and your child.
