Citizen of the Month

  •      This year, B-V's Citizen of the Month are selected based on the following 21st century skills: Collaboration, Communication, Grit, Creativity, Problem-Solving, Leadership, S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics), Integrity and Team Player. Each month, there are school wide read aloud options, discussions and activities related to the monthly traits.
A mural called "B-V's Garden of Goodness" was designed and created by staff members and parents (Thank you Andrea O'Malley for taking the lead with this project).  Students will sign their names on the mural as a lasting memory of their excellent citizenship.
In addition, we will be holding two Citizen of the Month breakfasts, in February and June, to celebrate our wonderful citizens.  We do this because we understand how important character education is as we nurture and develop well rounded citizens who will become productive members of our society.
Please continute to discuss these traits with your children and review ways they can demontstrate excellent citizenship on a consistent basis.
    Thank you for your support!
