Princeton Plan Information & Resources
Hendrick Hudson School District will adopt the Princeton Plan for the 2022-2023 school year. No elementary schools will be closing; instead there will be a reorganization of the grades by building: Kindergarten & grade 1 will be together at Frank G. Lindsey, grades 2 & 3 will be at Buchanan-Verplanck, and 4 & 5 will be together at Furnace Woods. The Board of Education voted during their March 24th, 2021 meeting (video on YouTube) to move forward with a resolution to implement a Princeton Plan model for our school district beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. The formal resolution was adopted during their April 7, 2021 meeting (video on YouTube). The Hendrick Hudson School district has created a Princeton Plan page on their website. Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page for a number of important documents, including the district's cost analysis, tax calculator and the Princeton Plan Stakeholder Committee's SWOT analysis. On March 16, 2021, the HHHS PTSA and the BMMS PTA hosted a joint Q&A Session with Superintendent Hochreiter (video on YouTube) where parents asked questions about how implementing the Princeton Plan would affect the middle school and high school.

2021-2022 Teacher/Staff Grants
Proposals may be for projects, activities, books, equipment or anything that enhances the academic lives of students at Hendrick Hudson High School. While preference is given to proposals that offer school-wide access to students, teachers are also encouraged to submit proposals that will benefit their individual classrooms or grade level. Grant requests up to $500 will be considered; any grant requests over this amount are dependent on what is available in the budget.
Please email your completed form to hhhs.pta@henhudschools.org at least 30 days before the funding is needed, and copy Mr. Mackin on the email. Mr. Mackin will conduct first review of proposals for content, appropriateness and to determine if alternate funding sources are available. The PTSA Executive Board will then review the requests. You must be a member of the PTSA in order to apply for a grant. Members may be contacted regarding questions about their request. If a membership vote is necessary to approve the amount of the grant, the member is encouraged, but not required, to attend the meeting where the vote will be held. We look forward to hearing about your project or activity.
