The Assistant Superintendent for Human Resource & Leadership Development is responsible for the following areas:
- district-wide personnel administration of all administrative, instructional and non-instructional staff
- recruitment and hiring district-wide
- evaluation of faculty, staff, and administration
- contract management for instructional staff, administrators, and civil service / negotiations
- leadership professional learning
In addition, the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resource & Leadership Development supports the Superintendent of Schools in the development of annual goals and long-range planning, supervision of staff certification, and development of staffing plans supported by district-level budget. Some responsibilities are shared with the Assistant Superintendent for Business, Executive Director for PPS, and the Executive Director for Curriculum & Instruction.
