Human Resources

The Assistant Superintendent for Human Resource & Leadership Development is responsible for the following areas:

  • district-wide personnel administration of all administrative, instructional and non-instructional staff
  • recruitment and hiring district-wide
  • evaluation of faculty, staff, and administration
  • contract management for instructional staff, administrators, and civil service / negotiations
  • leadership professional learning

In addition, the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resource & Leadership Development supports the Superintendent of Schools in the development of annual goals and long-range planning, supervision of staff certification, and development of staffing plans supported by district-level budget.  Some responsibilities are shared with the Assistant Superintendent for Business, Executive Director for PPS, and the Executive Director for Curriculum & Instruction.
