HHHS Band Students Get an Up-Close Look at the Pros

Amo Brass, a chamber ensemble consisting of Yale University alumni, visited, performed and worked alongside Hendrick Hudson High School band members on April 29, 2024 — thanks to a grant from Friends of Music's Partnership in Education Program.

Assemblywoman Dana Levenberg Pays a Visit to Hendrick Hudson

Dana Levenberg, a member of the New York State Assembly from the 95th district, visited Buchanan-Verplanck Elementary School on April 24, 2024. In addition to Levenberg touring the school, the visit allowed school district leaders to advocate for Hendrick Hudson.

The FBLA Club at Hendrick Hudson High School competed in a State Leadership Conference in Rochester, NY from April 10-12, 2024 and had several students who placed in the Top 10.

Kindergarten Teacher Surprised by Golden Apple Award

Marisa D'Itri, a kindergarten teacher at Frank G. Lindsey, was the surprised recipient of the Golden Apple Award, which is presented by WHUD 100.7 to the Teacher of the Month. D'Itri was joined by Hendrick Hudson administrators, Board of Education members and her family.

Furnace Woods Students Learn the Possibilities of STEAM

Furnace Woods hosted a STEAM Career Day on Thursday, March 28, 2024. The event featured 16 different presentations that introduced students to careers related to the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.

Athletic trainer Meg Greiner is an asset for Hendrick Hudson athletes.

March is celebrated across the country as National Athletic Training Month. Hendrick Hudson's athletic trainer, Meg Greiner, has worked with Sailor athletes for nearly 23 years. "My job," Greiner said, "is to be there and help them continue doing what they love."

Niamh Gormley entered Wednesday’s visit to Hendrick Hudson High School with some reservations, just as any eighth-grade student might. She wasn’t only nervous about visiting the music suite at her next school; she envisioned a quiet environment where younger and older students required time to grow comfortable with one another.

A new Biomed science lab at Hendrick Hudson High School will enhance the experience for PLTW students.

A new science lab, Room 9, which is located just below the building’s main level, opened its doors in March after years of planning and months of reconfiguration. It’s now a centerpiece in Hendrick Hudson’s award-winning Project Lead the Way program, which includes Dr. Jeanine Hall’s Biomedical Sciences courses.
