Hendrick Hudson Senior Earns Rotary Club Scholarship

The Rotary Club of Cortlandt Manor awarded Hendrick Hudson High School senior Mia Pajuelo a $1,000 scholarship to assist in her pursuit of higher education.

Mia, as a founding member of the new Interact Club, has been instrumental in expanding the charitable causes of the Rotary organization. Mia, who founded the club with fellow HHHS student Alana Dwyer, volunteered significant time to help gather food donations to support local food pantries and one for veterans as well. She also helped raise funds for the Rotary Club’s largest annual event.

“Mia is a true example of the good in the world and demonstrated her commitment to helping others,” the Rotary Club of Cortlandt Manor said in a statement. “We thank Mia for all she has done for our club and the overall community. We wish Mia the very best in her educational pursuits and look forward to witnessing her impact on the world in the future.”
