Portfolios of AP Art and Design Students Showcase ‘Stunning’ Work

The 2024 Hen Hud High School Art Show on May 22 provided a showcase of the in-depth, diverse portfolios created by students in Mrs. Jessica Nash’s Advanced Placement Art and Design class throughout the 2023-24 school year.

The students worked hard to build a portfolio by conducting research, practicing, experimenting and revising — then revising some more. Mrs. Nash said the result displayed thought-provoking exploration of self and visual culture and mastery over their respective disciplines, which culminated in unique perspectives and creative voices.

“I am always so proud to see my AP students display their final portfolios,” Mrs. Nash said. “It is a pleasure watching them create art all year that develops into stunning bodies of work.”

Here are samples of some of the students’ work, in the following order: Kacie Burns, Brendan Boyle, Jessica Redmond, Layla Herman, Raine Parker, and Rhylee Adviento.
