Blue Mountain Middle School Band Earns First Place at Six Flags

On Friday, May 9, the Blue Mountain Middle School. 8th Grade Band travelled to Agawam, Mass. to perform in the 2025 Music in the Parks Festival. The band performed for a panel of professional musicians and conductors to receive feedback and scores on its performance. The band performed "Fiero" by Steve Hodges.

After such a fantastic performance, the 8th Grade Band did not let the weather rain on their parade. Despite the chilly, rainy day, students followed up their award-winning performance with a fun day at Six Flags before being awarded the trophy for First Place Middle School Concert Band at the awards ceremony!
