This year, there were more than 30 dedicated volunteers who represented a wide range of professions and generously donated their time to speak with students and share key insights into their careers.

All 536 students at Blue Mountain had the opportunity in advance to rank their preferred career sessions. After thoughtful planning and coordination, each student received an individualized schedule that allowed them to attend sessions tailored to their interests.

“While this event has been an institution at Blue Mountain for a long time, this was our second Career Day where students had a choice of their presenters,” said Blue Mountain teacher Danielle Sugerman, who organized Career Day with colleague Robin deGrasse. “We’re so thankful to the 30-plus presenters who volunteered their time and made the day a success.”

At the conclusion of Career Day, students expressed that appreciation by writing heartfelt notes of thanks to the volunteers.

“Blue Mountain Middle School extends its deepest thanks to all of the volunteers and staff who made this day possible,” deGrasse said. “We look forward to building on its success in the years to come.”
