Elementary Students Compete in Math March Madness
Throughout March, students from all three Hendrick Hudson elementary schools have been motivated to practice their math skills! They have been participating in a First In Math March Madness competition within their buildings.
During the competition, they have collaborated while playing math games in school and at home that allow them to earn virtual stickers. The more math games the students in each class play, the more stickers their class collects. The class that earns the most stickers per week has a chance to display the weekly First In Math trophy.
Buchanan-Verplanck and Furnace Woods Elementary Schools both have one winner per week. Frank G. Lindsey Elementary School has one winner per grade level each week.
On Monday, March 31, monthly winners will be named. The classes that have compiled the most stickers for the month will earn an extra recess reward and have an opportunity to display the trophy!
