Hendrick Hudson Budget Vote Events On Tap for Next Week

Voters who arrive at Frank G. Lindsey Elementary School on Tuesday will receive a festive welcoming from some of our student musicians.

Beginning at approximately 3:45 p.m. that day, chamber music groups from Hendrick Hudson High School will perform at the school entrance, greeting community members as they arrive for the School Budget Vote and Board of Education Election.

All voting will occur in the Frank G. Lindsey gymnasium from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

That same day, elementary students at Frank G. Lindsey, Buchanan-Verplanck and Furnace Woods will hold their own election of sorts. But they will vote on a special school lunch to be served on June 12.

The three choices are: Belgian waffle with toppings; gyro with pita bread; and orange chicken with fortune cookies. Each school will be served the lunch that receives the most votes.

Each student at the three schools will be sent home with a ballot Friday. Extras will be available Tuesday at Frank G. Lindsey. Students must cast their ballots in a ballot box, which will be located near the polling area at Frank G. Lindsey on voting day.

Parents, please note that ballots will not be collected during the school day.
