Hendrick Hudson Celebrates 14 New Tenure Recipients
During the Board of Education meeting in the Hendrick Hudson High School cafeteria on May 7, 2025, the district honored the 14 staff members who received tenure in 2025.
The district hosted a reception prior to the meeting that included refreshments. Once the meeting began, Dr. Steven Garcia, the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources & Leadership Development, introduced this year’s tenure recipients, who were joined for the occasion by family members and colleagues.
“Receiving tenure is an honorable recognition bestowed on those who demonstrate excellence inside and outside the classroom,” Dr. Garcia said. “The designation signals that the Hendrick Hudson School District considers the individual an integral member of its community of learners.”
Dr. Garcia emphasized to those in attendance that receiving tenure marked the “next step” in the careers of those being recognized.
“Hendrick Hudson is lucky to have you,” he added.
