Hendrick Hudson Students Return from Holiday Break

Welcome back, Sailors!

Classrooms, hallways and common spaces in the Hendrick Hudson School District were bustling once again Monday, Jan. 6, when students and staff returned to school for the first time in 2025.

All five schools in the district reopened after a 16-day holiday recess.

“We’re all excited to be back to school,” Frank G. Lindsey Elementary School principal Jim Mackin said.

There are still four weeks remaining in the second quarter, which won’t end until Jan. 31. The winter sports calendar will resume in full force this week, while our music department will hold winter concerts for middle and elementary school musicians throughout the month.

“Everyone is looking forward to the remainder of the school year,” Mackin said. “There is a still a lot left for all of us to accomplish.”
