Hendrick Hudson Welcome Beau Morki as its Next Athletic Director

The Hendrick Hudson School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Beau Morki as its new Transitional Administrator of K-12 Physical Education, Health and Athletics, beginning Oct. 1, 2025.

Hendrick Hudson has appointed Beau Morki as the Director of Physical Education, Health and Athletics.

Morki, who has previously worked as a Director and an Associate Director of Athletics, will serve alongside Tom Baker through Dec. 31, 2025 before assuming the role of Director of Physical Education, Health and Athletics on Jan. 1, 2026. His appointments will both occur during the July 1 Board of Education meeting.

Baker will retire at the end of 2025 after serving the district for 32 years, including the last 24 as athletic director.

"I am excited to welcome Beau Morki to Hendrick Hudson,” said Michael A. Tromblee, Hendrick Hudson’s Superintendent of Schools. “His seasoned background as a physical education educator, coach and executive-level director in competitive youth athletics will bring fresh perspectives on skill development, team cohesion, community involvement, and program innovation — ensuring our student-athletes thrive both on and off the field.”

Morki arrives at Hendrick Hudson with over 20 years of experience spanning education and athletics, and has earned a reputation as a respected educator, coach, administrator and innovator. He has worked the last five years as a physical education teacher in New York City.

Throughout his career, Morki has served in various educational roles, and has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and a genuine dedication to student growth and success. His leadership has positively influenced both academic and athletic programs, with a focus on cultivating high-performing teams, fostering inclusive school cultures, and driving continuous improvement.

“I believe that I will bring deep expertise in program development, strategic planning and operational management,” Morki said. “I have successfully led large teams, managed complex budgets, and negotiated critical contracts, all while maintaining a focus on long-term outcomes and organizational sustainability.”

Colleagues have described Morki as a thoughtful, empathetic leader with a growth mindset and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. He considers himself a lifelong learner, whose personal values reflect resilience, empathy, and a deep appreciation for family, and were shaped by being raised by a single mother alongside three sisters.

Morki is now a devoted husband and father of two.

“From my early years in California to my days as a leader in school communities, I believe my journey is a testament to adaptability, vision, and unwavering belief in the transformative power of education,” he said.

Morki earned his undergraduate degree from Fordham University and a Master’s degree from Manhattanville University. In addition to various roles as a teacher and athletic administrator in schools, he has served as a coaching educator for the U.S. Soccer Federation, and currently holds the same role with both the Eastern New York State Soccer Association and the Westchester Youth Soccer League. Since 2009, Morki has been the Technical Director and a coach for the Westchester-based Eastern Football Club.
