Hendrick Hudson’s Annual Visual Art Show Begins April 2

The K-12 Visual Art Show will be held April 2-28, 2025 at the Hen Hud Free Library.

Hendrick Hudson’s annual K-12 Visual Art Show returns Wednesday, April 2 and runs through April 28, 2025 at the Hen Hud Free Library. This year’s show, titled Artistic Intelligence, will feature selected works from students at all grade levels.

The K-12 Visual Art Show will be held April 2-28, 2025 at the Hen Hud Free Library.

“The exhibit represents work of selected students from all grade levels,” Logan Krause, a teacher at Blue Mountain Middle School, said of the longtime tradition.

The K-12 Visual Art Show will be on exhibit during the library’s operating hours, including throughout the district’s upcoming spring recess. The show is free of charge and all members of the community are encouraged to attend.

The art will showcase a variety of art techniques taught in elementary, middle and high school art classes. The exhibit will feature works from our ABC and SAILOR programs as well.

Some of the high school students’ artwork will be accompanied by a QR code.

“Our students have been using Artsonia,” high school teacher Jessica Nash said about the QR codes. “It gives our students the ability to write in-depth about their art.”

There will be an Artists’ Reception from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22. A Board of Education meeting will follow that evening in the Hen Hud Free Library at 7 p.m.
