Kindergartners Bake Thanksgiving Muffins in Furnace Woods' New Student Kitchen

Kindergarteners at Furnace Woods Elementary School had their first visit to the new Furnace Woods Student Kitchen! The students learned about kitchen etiquette and, on Tuesday, all of the students in Ms. Sieverding, Mrs. Sciacchitano, Mrs. Hill and Ms. Stack's classes had a turn to measure, pour, mix and bake corn muffins for the Kindergarten Friendsgiving that will be held on Wednesday morning.

"We will all meet and join together to enjoy our corn muffins and treats as a Kindergarten Family," Mrs. Sciacchitano said.

While baking, the kindergarteners shared how they noticed the mixture changing from a dry mixture to a wet mixture that became thicker. They also all excitedly shared how delicious the muffins smelled and that they can't wait to eat them together.

"We are so excited to visit the kitchen again to make more delicious treats while learning about measuring, kitchen tools and so much more!" Mrs. Sciacchitano said.
