Nineteen Hendrick Hudson Seniors Earn Prestigious New York State Seal of Biliteracy

Hendrick Hudson had 19 seniors in the Class of 2026 receive the Seal of Biliteracy.

Hendrick Hudson High School is proud to announce that 19 members of the Class of 2026 have earned the New York State Seal of Biliteracy, a prestigious distinction recognizing high levels of proficiency in English and at least one additional world language.

To earn this honor, students completed a rigorous, multi-step process that demonstrated both academic excellence and global awareness. Each candidate developed a comprehensive portfolio showcasing their work in English and their chosen language. As part of the process, students conducted in-depth research on a political, social, environmental, or economic issue affecting both the United States and regions where their additional language is spoken.

Students then presented their research before a panel of evaluators, synthesizing their findings into formal presentations delivered in multiple languages. This culminating experience required strong communication skills, critical thinking, and cross-cultural understanding.

Hendrick Hudson High School congratulates these students for their outstanding achievement and applauds their commitment to multilingualism and global citizenship.
