Students Create Their Own Thanksgiving Day Parade Routes
Lately, third graders at Frank G. Lindsey Elementary School have learned about coding, algorithms and programming. For a hands-on experience to bring together everything they have learned, the students were tasked with creating Thanksgiving Day parade routes for their Ozobots.
Ozobots are coding robots for beginners that follow color codes. To design parade routes, the students had to work together in groups and plan routes that used five codes, and included one stop sign and one right turn.
“This was a great way for the kids to experience coding and robotics,” Frank G. Lindsey STEAM teacher Megan Boyle said.
