Students Explore Options at Second Annual College Fair

Hendrick Hudson High School hosted a College Fair on Oct. 17, 2024.

Hendrick Hudson High School students were given an opportunity to explore their future options when representatives from 36 different colleges and business schools — plus law enforcement and armed forces organizations — gathered in the cafeteria for the second annual College Fair. The event coincided once again with the PSAT exam, which was administered the same morning in the school library.

Students flowed into the cafeteria throughout the morning or during their lunch period. Many toured the tables that were set up around the perimeter of the room, and which housed colleges from the tri-state area and Mid-Atlantic and New England regions.

The students who visited the tables were able to gather information about majors offered at each school or ask questions about the college or organization being represented. Students picked up pamphlets and some swag and others signed up to be contacted in the future.

“Having the opportunity to offer a College Fair here at the high school affords our students the chance to look, review, meet, and learn about colleges that may be of interest to them,” said Dr. Aaron Kleinman, Hendrick Hudson’s Director of School Counseling. “The counselors played a big part in making this come together with their help organizing the fair and making sure that the college representatives and the students connected.”
