At Furnace Woods Elementary School, Universal Pre-K and kindergarten students teamed up for a special project to help decorate the school for the holiday. Using stickers, markers, construction paper and glue sticks, the young artists worked side by side to create a beautiful Valentine’s Day display. The colorful finished project greeted students and staff as they walked through the main entrance, spreading smiles and school spirit throughout the building.

Meanwhile, at Buchanan-Verplanck Elementary School, UPK and kindergarten students gathered in the cafeteria for a festive Valentine’s Day celebration. Working together in groups, they created vibrant artwork using paint sticks generously supplied by Let It Shine, Inc. The celebration also included a holiday-themed dance party, followed by delicious popcorn — another thoughtful contribution from Let It Shine, Inc.

After the festivities, the students’ artwork was proudly displayed in the cafeteria, showcasing an impressive example of teamwork, creativity and holiday joy. At both schools, our youngest learners truly demonstrated the power of collaboration and the spirit of Valentine’s Day!
