Middle and High School Musicians to Perform with ACDA National Honor Choirs

Both Blue Mountain Middle School and Hendrick Hudson High School will be represented this spring, when students from both schools sing with the American Choral Directors Association National Honor Choirs in Kansas City, Missouri.

BMMS eighth grader Tony Mills was accepted into the ACDA Middle School Honor Choir “Tony had to submit an extensive audition tape with very strict requirements and practiced extensively, both at home and with me after school,” said choral director Kimberly Dunkin. "Tony will sing with some of the best middle school musicians in the country at the three-day festival in Kansas City in March.”

Hendrick Hudson High School singers Rachel Moon, Matthew Quarles and Kiely Beltran will also be traveling to Kansas City in March. All three were accepted into the ACDA High School Honor Choir. In March, these three musicians will take their place alongside the best high school choir members from around the country.

The ACDA’s mission is to inspire excellence in choral music through education, performance, composition and advocacy.
