Superintendent Joseph Hochreiter provided an audio update, a little more than one week into the district’s distance learning model. Here are highlights from the recording:
The district is scheduling one more pick up time for Chromebooks. Any student in need of a device should contact their principal immediately. We will let you know when the pick up time is. Again, this is just for those individuals who need a device in order to work remotely.
It turns out Hen Hud’s outstanding girls basketball team will not be able to compete in state competition, as all state tournaments have been canceled. We can all be very proud of this team and their record-setting season.
Please continue to check the district website and Facebook page, as well as the superintendent’s Twitter feed (you can see it on the website’s main page), as we are continually updating district information. Today we made some updates to our COVID-19 FAQ document.
There is no new news from the Governor’s office or the State Education Department at this time. The district is awaiting guidance regarding the ultimate length of the closure, among other things, and will provide updates as they become available.
Finally, the superintendent encouraged everyone to hang in there, expressing how proud he was of the district’s staff and students during this challenging time.
