District Garners A1 Credit Rating from Moody’s

This week, the Hendrick Hudson School District received an A1 credit rating from Moody’s Investor’s Service. Moody’s is one of the three major credit rating agencies in the United States.

Moody’s report describes the district as having a favorable credit rating, with such notable credit factors as a very strong wealth and income profile, a solid tax base and a sound financial position. The report noted that the rating also “reflects an affordable debt burden and a mid-ranged pension liability.”

Assistant Superintendent for Business, Enrique Catalan, said, “We are very pleased that Moody’s has confirmed our A1 credit rating. We will continue to work hard to maintain this rating in the future, even with reduced revenues from Indian Point.”
