District Launches Strategic Planning Process, Seeks Volunteers

The Hendrick Hudson School District is poised to begin short- and long-term strategic planning. This is a unique opportunity for the school community to participate in developing a vision and strategic direction for the next five years. The district has partnered with Putnam | Northern Westchester BOCES and consultant Education Elements to create its next Strategic Plan and is currently looking for volunteers from the school community to join the effort.

The Strategic Plan will identify the district’s priorities over a three-to-five year period. The plan may focus on the future of instruction, communications and community engagement; social and emotional supports in light of the pandemic; and other important priorities identified by stakeholders.

The district is seeking parent and community volunteers to participate in the strategic planning process by joining a team of district, school, student, family, and community representatives who will design and refine the plan’s major deliverables, based on staff and community input.

Participating on these teams carries a significant responsibility and time commitment, with at least four meetings (virtual and in-person) planned between October and May, in addition to possible meetings with other stakeholders.

Anyone interested in participating should fill out this Google form by October 8, 2021. The district will notify individuals of team placements by October 15, 2021.
