District's Strategic Planning Process Offers Multiple Ways to Have Your Voice Heard

The Hendrick Hudson School District’s new Strategic Plan was released at the October 27 Board of Education meeting. This plan will now serve as a roadmap for the district’s future, encompassing goals connected to instruction, communication and community engagement, social and emotional supports for students, and other important priorities identified by stakeholders.

The plan itself, as well as an interactive Implementation Dashboard, is available HERE, on the district website.

As the district continues to move ahead with the Strategic Planning process, there are a variety of ways that members of the school community can get involved. Click HERE for a one-page overview of the multiple opportunities for engagement. The three key opportunities include:

  • Taking the district’s community survey, which will be open through December 2, 2022. Please take a few minutes and share your perspective with us. The more feedback we have, the better.
  • Joining a focus group, organized by the plan’s four priority areas or “Pillars.” All focus groups will be held virtually via Zoom.
  • Taking a role on our Strategic Planning Teams, including the Steering Team or one of four Implementation Teams. Each implementation team is aligned to one of the four pillars.

The strategic planning process provides a unique opportunity for the school community to participate in developing a vision and strategic direction for the next five years. Please consider providing your valuable input and making your voice heard as the district moves into the implementation phase of the plan.
