BMMS Art Teachers Spotlighted in Video Series

Anyone who has listened to Blue Mountain Middle School visual art teachers Logan Krause and Paul Gioacchini discuss their students and class projects knows how infectious the duo’s energy is. Having taught together for more than 15 years, they finish one another sentences as they enthusiastically describe their latest classroom explorations.

Recently, Krause and Gioacchini participated in a Zoom interview hosted by the Lower Hudson Regional Information Center, as part of its “Live from Model Schools” series. Director of Technology Vineetha Joy was also present for the interview and joined the conversation at times.

The interview covers the many ways the teachers infuse technology into their arts instruction and how they empower students with technical skills that allow them to choose their own creative paths.
