HHHS Senior Signs National Letter of Intent

Hendrick Hudson High School senior Lena Johnsen has signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer at Fordham University next year.  Lena was a two-time All Section soccer player, earning those accolades as a sophomore and junior, and she received All-League honors during her sophomore year.

Lena leaves the Hen Hud soccer program as one of its most decorated players. She holds the career and single season record for goals at the school, with 58 goals in her career and 31 in a season. She also is the career leader in assists with 31 for the Sailors. This past fall, Johnsen led all of Section 1 in goals scored and was also named to the Section 1 Elite 12 Girls Soccer team.

“Lena was a highly decorated soccer player in our program,” said head coach Bill Pagel. “Not only was she extremely talented, but she was an exceptional leader and teammate for us. I am proud of her acceptance to Fordham University, and I look forward to following her in the coming years. She will be sorely missed.”
